None of This Is True

None of This Is True by Lisa Jewell

If you are looking for a book with some fucking crazy characters and storyline’s, look no further. This has it all and I inhaled this over three days.

I needed this novel in my life. I flew through every part of it, the chapters were suspenseful, enthralling and just completely fucking psycho. I felt on edge turning the page, waiting for the next crazy thing to happen.

The story follows Josie (alongside her weird family), and Alix, a podcaster, who find themselves birthday twins (born same day, same year) and through a series of events Josie stars on Alixs’ podcast.

And boy, does it get crazy. We have missing children, accusations of abuse, alcolohism, domestic abuse, general marriage breakdowns and just a really real sense of uneasiness. Jewell writes these storyline’s so well, I felt on edge, scared, nervous, enthralled, totally gobsmacked and then unfortunately at the end, a bit meh (it felt unfinished and I feel horrible for saying it! Don’t come at me!)

All in all a completely thrilling read that will ensure you never trust anyone ever again. Thank you and good night.
